Youth Peer Support Program Assistant - Southport

We are seeking a Youth Peer Support Program Assistant - a new youth role to drive our Peer Support Worker program

About the role

At Lives Lived Well (headspace Southport), we are stepping up our commitment to our Peer Support Program and looking for a young person who can guide, grow and support this.

The role is a full time max term contract (until 30 June 2020) with support from a highly experienced Youth Participation Coordinator and support team.

The base salary range for this role is $25.98 - 28.35 per hour + super (9.5%) + salary packaging to increase your take home pay by $6 000 per annum.

If you are interested in the role, the ideal candidate will have

  • Previous experience as a Peer Support Worker is essential
  • Experience delivering Peer Support to young people (individuals and/or groups)
  • Understanding of mental health challenges faced by young people
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Current QLD Blue Card/Working With Children Check
