About this opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Counsellor Case Manager to deliver group Programs with a demonstrated understanding of the AOD and Mental Health Sector. Based in our Townsville office, full time ongoing.

This role is working with clients to provide group Programs across Townsville and the surrounding region. You will manage a caseload of clients providing individual counselling & case management. This will include:

  • Facilitate and develop group programs at our target locations, this will include traveling in the region
  • Provide high-quality engagement, assessment, counselling, case management and support services to clients, and their families
  • Engage and build attendance for programs
  • Manage a caseload of clients, through providing support, service coordination, referral, and advocacy to assist in achieving their goals
  • Work with clients to develop, implement and review their individual goals within a planned service approach

We're looking for someone with:

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering and facilitating groups programs
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related health services discipline (such as social work, counselling, psychology or occupational therapy)
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in contemporary counselling, case management, and intake and assessment
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering and facilitating groups programs
  • Knowledge in contemporary evidence-based AOD clinical practice
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
